Biography
CRISTINA CAMPO (1923–1977) is one of several pseudonyms used by the reclusive
Italian poet, writer, and translator Vittoria Maria Angelica Marcella Cristina Guerrini. She published only two books of essays in her lifetime: Fairy Tale and Mystery and The Flute and the Carpet. These two collections, along with a selection of fiction and nonfiction, will be published in 2024 by NYRB Classics as The Unforgivable and Other Writings, with an introduction by Kathryn Davis.
