Biography
Carlos Pardo is the author of three books of poetry: Echado a Perder (Generation of ’27 Award for Poetry 2007), Desvelo sin paisaje (Emilios Prados Award 2002) and El invernadero (Hiperión Prize for Poetry 1995). He is the codirector of the annual international poetry festival Cosmopoética and an editor for Antonio Machado Libros. Pardo lives in Madrid.

The Oram brothers live up the mountain. Head east on the main road until it crosses the river and forks. Take the fork leading into the woods. Take the road less traveled. Don’t pat yourself on the back for your poet jokes. That is a false poem, and that poet knew it.
