Biography
Barbara Tomash is the author of three books of poetry, Arboreal (Apogee 2014), Flying in Water (winner of the 2005 Winnow First Poetry Award), and The Secret of White (Spuyten Duyvil 2009). A portfolio of poems from PRE- is featured in the June 2014 issue of Verse. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Colorado Review, New American Writing, VOLT, OmniVerse, Witness, and elsewhere. She teaches at San Francisco State University.

My neighbors convened a kangaroo court. The charge against me was stealing newspapers. I contended that after 9:00 am they were artifacts not news and were therefore fair game under international archaeological conventions.
